This exhibition begins with things not yet named, things not yet determined.

A movement of the hand becomes a drawing. The drawing meets generative AI and begins to move

beyond itself, becoming images, forms, and unpredictable gestures. Somewhere between intention

and chance, consciousness and the unconscious, something new begins to appear.

Undetermined is a state of remaining open. The work moves from drawing to image, from image to

object, video, and space, without settling into a single form. Each transformation leaves room for

something unexpected to emerge.

To remain undetermined is not to remain unfinished. It is to hold open the possibility of becoming

something else.

These works are not answers, but moments in an unfolding process. 〈Undetermined〉 stays with

what cannot yet be named—with images before they settle into meaning, and with possibilities

before they become form. In this open space, the artist, the work, technology, chance, reality, and

image encounter one another, allowing new relationships to emerge.

이 전시는 아직 이름 붙지 않은 것들, 아직 결정되지 않은 것들로부터 시작된다. 손의 움직임에서 비롯된 드로잉은 생성형

AI와 만나 예측할 수 없는 이미지와 움직임으로 확장되고, 그 과정에서 의도와 우연, 의식과 무의식이 서로 얽히며 새로운

형상을 만들어낸다. 작가는 결과를 완전히 통제하기보다, 자신이 알 수 없는 방향으로 작업이 흘러가는 순간을

받아들이고 그 안에서 새로운 가능성을 발견한다.

Undetermined는 작품 속에서 발생하는 예측 불가능성을 의미하는 동시에, 작가 자신의 작업이 아직 하나의 형식이나

개념으로 규정되지 않았음을 의미한다. 드로잉에서 이미지로, 이미지에서 오브제와 영상, 공간으로 이어지는 작업의

변화처럼, 작업은 하나의 방식에 머무르지 않고 계속해서 다른 형태와 관계를 찾아간다.

‘결정되지 않음’은 미완성이나 불확실성의 상태가 아니라, 아직 다른 무엇인가가 될 수 있는 가능성의 상태에 가깝다.

지금의 작업 역시 하나의 결론이라기보다 앞으로 이어질 과정의 한 지점에 놓여 있다.

〈Undetermined〉는 무엇인지 아직 명확하게 이름 붙일 수 없는 것들과, 앞으로 무엇이 될지 결정되지 않은 작업의

가능성을 함께 바라본다. 작품은 완성된 의미를 제시하기보다, 계속 변화하고 확장되는 과정 속에 머문다. 그리고 그 열린

상태 속에서 작가와 작품, 기술과 우연, 현실과 이미지 사이에 새로운 관계가 발생하기를 기다린다.
