長く厳しいスウェーデンの冬のあいだ、私たちは毎日織りの工房に集まり、ひとつずつ根気強く織り上げていきました。めったに姿を見せない太陽が現れると、私たちはウールのマフラーで身を包み、外へ出ました。その儚い光のもとで、再び織り続ける力を得ることができたのです。
展示タイトルの Ljus & Ull はスウェーデン語で、ljus は「光」を、ull は「ウール（羊毛）」を意味します。この展覧会は、冬の冷たい空気の痛み、一瞬の陽だまりの温もり、そして肌に触れるウールのやわらかな質感――その共有された感覚の記憶から生まれました。出展されている作品はすべて購入可能で、アーティスト自身の手によってウールを主な素材として使用し、織り上げたマフラーです。

Through the long, harsh Swedish winter, we gathered each day in the weaving workshop, patiently weaving line by line. When the sun made its rare appearance, we would wrap ourselves in our wool scarves and step outside, walking slowly under the fleeting light that gave us the strength to keep weaving.

The title is  ‘Ljus&Ull’, which comes from Swedish. “Ljus” represents light, while “Ull” refers to wool. This exhibition is born from that shared sensory memory: the cold sting of winter air, the fleeting warmth of sunlight, and the comforting texture of wool against the skin. Each scarf on display is handwoven by the artists, using wool as the primary material.
